I obtained both a Bachelor's of Science degree (Wildlife Biology - 1994) and a Bachelor's of Art degree (Secondary Education - 1996) from the University of Wyoming. I started my teaching career in Worland, Wyoming where I taught science and coached both cross-country and track for two years. In 1999 my wife, a Speech Pathologist, and I moved to Reedsport where I continue to teach. For the last 15 years I have taught Biology, Marine Biology, and Human Anatomy and Physiology at the secondary level. In addition to these subjects, I have taught Health for the last three years and began teaching 7th grade science in 2013. Outside the classroom I have served as both the head cross-country coach and assistant track coach. While teaching in Reedsport I have continued my education and have accumulated 45 graduate credit hours in a variety of academic fields from various Oregon universities including the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. However, I still remain a Wyoming Cowboy. Go Pokes!!
